We know that running a behavioral health organization takes heart, commitment, and a whole lot of juggling. Our Financial Services Project (FSP) is here to lighten the load—offering free, one-on-one financial consulting to behavioral health providers across New Mexico.
This state-funded initiative is designed to help you build skills, make informed decisions, and feel more confident about your organization’s financial health—no matter your starting point.
We’re not your typical financial consultants—we’re your partners in financial clarity and sustainability. With deep roots in New Mexico’s behavioral health community, we understand the unique challenges providers face. Whether you’re managing complex funding streams, rising staffing costs, or the day-to-day demands of running a behavioral health organization, we’re here to help.
We’ve worked with organizations of all sizes—from small startups to large, multi-site agencies—throughout New Mexico. Our mission is to empower you with the financial tools and insights you need to thrive, enabling you to stay focused on providing quality care to those in need.
We help behavioral health providers in New Mexico build strong financial foundations through services tailored to your mission and capacity. Our goal is to make financial management understandable, actionable, and aligned with the realities of your work. Through financial literacy training, in-depth financial analyses, financial dashboards, and fractional CFO services, we empower behavioral health organizations to make confident, data-driven decisions—so you can focus on what matters most: helping those in our communities who rely on the vital services your organization provides every day.
We review your current financial picture, learn about your mission, and work with you to identify priorities and set a roadmap for the year ahead.
We’ll track trends, risks, and opportunities together throughout the year—and as things progress, we may add tools like margin analysis or cash flow planning to support your goals.
We provide tailored support based on your needs. This might include building a budget, analyzing staff billable hours, or talking through ways to strengthen your financial practices.
We’ll help you build financial skills so you feel more confident moving forward. This might include understanding key financial statements like the Profit & Loss, comparing budget vs. actuals, or using Excel to explore your data.
We meet regularly to help you stay focused, make adjustments, and keep moving forward.

"Onyx Analytics has been the best thing to happen to our agency. In large part to Onyx our agency has gone from barely surviving to THRIVING. Their genuine support, willingness to share their vast knowledge, and significant time investment has given us the resources and opportunity to grow our programs, hire more clinicians, upgrade our facility, and truly embrace a freedom to grow that didn't feel possible three years ago. I highly recommend their services to everyone. Regardless of your needs, these two can help get you to the next level!"
Caitlin Erickson
Executive Director, Horses For Healing
"My understanding of the financial side of our agency was a bit of a mystery to me. My knowledge has improved from a 3 to a 7 and it's growing every day. This has really helped us be more transparent and improved the flow of our operations."
